SEAI €300 grant guide

SEAI offers up to €300 towards the purchase and installation of a home charger. EcoLife walks you through eligibility and the safety sign-off so the claim is not refused on a technicality.

Who can apply. A private home with its own off-street parking. The charger must connect back to that home. Workplace and apartment grants are a different scheme.
What must be true. The charger is on the SEAI register. You apply with your MPRN and Eircode, then wait for the Letter of Offer. Do not start the install before the start date on that letter.
Safety sign-off. A Safe Electric registered contractor carries out the work and issues the completion certificate. That certificate is the safety sign-off the grant claim asks for. The offer lasts six months.
