Solar PV Design & Installation
Homeowners can now avail of a rebate to support the installation of Solar PV panels and battery energy storage systems. Support is available to all owners of dwellings built and occupied before 2011 and where SEAI have not previously provided support for solar system at that address. It is critical that homeowners do NOT start works until they receive the grant offer.

Our mission is to make upgrading to an energy efficient home, affordable and accessible to all, making the entire process from start to finish as simple as possible, including the grant application.

EV Charger Installation
EV charging facilities, particularly at home, are becoming increasingly common as electric vehicles become more common. Of course, driving an electric vehicle is excellent for the environment.
However, charging at a public station still leaves a carbon imprint. By using your own charger and a 100% green energy provider, the problem is solved. Although public electricity is not yet completely green, your home and car can be.

Periodic Inspection Reports (PIR)
A Periodic Inspection Report (PIR) is a document that provides a detailed assessment of the electrical installation in a property. The purpose of a PIR is to identify any potential electrical safety hazards, defects, or non-compliance with electrical regulations.
- Safety assessment: A thorough inspection of the electrical installation is carried out, including the wiring, switches, sockets, consumer units (fuse boxes), and other electrical components. The inspection aims to identify any potential risks, such as faulty wiring, inadequate earthing, or outdated equipment.
- Compliance check: The electrical installation is assessed against the relevant electrical regulations and standards. The report indicates any non-compliance or deviations from the required standards.
- Defect identification: Any defects or issues found during the inspection are noted. These can range from minor faults, such as loose connections or broken switches, to more serious concerns, such as exposed live wires or overloaded circuits.
- Recommendations and remedial work: The report may include recommendations for remedial work to address the identified defects or non-compliance. These recommendations outline the necessary actions to rectify the issues and ensure the electrical installation meets safety standards. They are indicated by the following number system (1) – Requires Urgent Attention. (2) – Requires improvements. (3) Requires some attention. (4) – Does not comply with current national rules for electrical installations* This dos not necessarily imply that the electrical installation inspected is unsafe
- Periodicity: Periodic Inspection Reports are not one-time assessments. The frequency of inspections depends on several factors, including the type of property, its age, and its use. Typically, domestic properties may require an inspection every 10 years, while commercial properties may need more frequent assessments.
- Legal requirements and certifications: In many jurisdictions, landlords, property owners, and employers have legal obligations to ensure the safety of electrical installations. A valid Periodic Inspection Report helps demonstrate compliance with these requirements. In some cases, insurance providers or regulatory bodies may also request the report as part of their processes.
