Quick answers

Can I get the €300 SEAI grant?

Eligible private homes can claim up to €300 towards a home charger. You need off-street parking, a charger on the SEAI register, and a Letter of Offer before any work starts. A Safe Electric registered contractor issues the completion certificate the claim uses. Workplace and apartment grants are a different scheme.

Do you do an online photo survey?

Yes. The instant quote starts online. Photos of the consumer unit, the meter, and where the car parks are enough for a free estimate on a typical home. If the board or the cable route looks unusual, we say so before the fitting is booked.

How long does the fitting take?

A standard home charger is fitted in a single visit, usually a few hours, including testing and the Safe Electric sign-off. Extra time is only needed if the fuse board needs work that was already flagged in the quote.
